Frequently asked questions.

What is Knockoffs Run Club?
We're a casual, social run club based in Hobart. We meet weekly for an easy group run, followed by post-run hangs — think drinks, food, and good company.

When and where do you meet?
We offer three regular events:

  • Thursday Night Run
Our most popular session — a 40-minute out-and-back run (20 minutes out, 20 minutes back). We meet at Room for a Pony in North Hobart at 5:45 PM for a 6:00 PM sharp start. Routes alternate weekly.

  • Tuesday Track Session
Early morning intervals with a focus on connection and coffee. Sessions run for under 45 minutes. We meet at the main gates of the Domain Athletics Centre at 5:30 AM.

  • Monthly Trail Run
On the last Sunday of each month, we hit the trails for a 60-minute run (30 minutes out, 30 minutes back). Routes vary each month and we usually finish with a swim and/or coffee.

For all event details and to register, check our Instagram or scroll to the bottom of this page.

Do I need to register?
Yes, registration is required. Please click the “Register to run” button in the top right corner or scroll down to view events and sign up via our Heylo membership platform.

Is it free to join?
Yes! There’s no cost to join or participate in runs. Just show up, bring good energy, and maybe grab a drink with us after.

We do offer a paid GOLD membership for $25 per year. It gives you access to exclusive partner discounts, early merch drops, and race entry discounts.

What should I bring?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable and safe running in. Running gear, a water bottle, and maybe a light jacket (this is Hobart, after all). Some people bring a change of clothes if they’re staying for a drink afterwards.

Headtorches are essential during the winter months (April–October). You can check out our partner, The Running Edge, for all your gear needs.

What’s with the name?
We’re all about that post-5pm run life — knocking off work, logging some kms, and catching up with mates. Simple as that.

Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! The more, the merrier. Whether they’re runners or just there for the post-run hangout, everyone’s welcome.

Do I need to be fast or experienced?
Not at all. We welcome all levels — beginners, walkers, joggers, or seasoned runners. Most runs are time-based, so you can move at your own pace or even just meet us at the pub after.
